Borussia Dortmund reached the german cup final after beating
Bayern Munich 2-0 on penalties.
Pep Guardiola’s side was dominant in all aspects of the game
but they couldn’t find the killer finishing touch they used to have.
Lewandowski put Bayern ahead after he saw his initial shot hitting the post and
coming back to him after a brilliant ball by Xabi Alonso. Pierre Emerick
Aubameyang scored the all vital equaliser after connecting with the ball in
full stretch from a Mkhitaryan cross.

No one scored until regular time and the game was stretched
towards extra time. Bastien Schweinstiger missed two golden opportunities by heading
both the chances over the bar.
The Matched was again stretched but this time it was towards
penalties. Bayern Munich won the toss and was elected to take the first
penalty. Phillip Lahm stepped up to take it but he slipped as he was hitting
the ball and the ball went wide. Gundogan stepped up to take Dortmund’s penalty
and he finished it off in some style. Alonso stepped up for the next Bayern
penalty but he too slipped and the ball went wide. Kehl stepped up for Dortmund
and he finished it off into the bottom corner. Gotze failed to register a
penalty as his tame penalty was saved by langerak . World number one keeper
Manuel Neuer denied Mats Humells with a world class save. None but Neuer
himself stepped for the next penalty but he went for massive power and he hit
the crossbar.
Dortmund celebrated their win in some style. Now that they
are on to the final Jurgen Klopp could end his last season in charge in some
style by winning the German cup. Dortmund will face either Wolfsburg
or third-tier Arminia Bielefeld in the final.
