Lionel Messi opened the account when Barcelona was awarded a penalty when Luis Suarez was clipped inside the box by Alvaro Arroyo while the Uruguayan was collecting a Marc Bartra pass. Rafinha almost added a second when he connected with his head from a Xavi corner, but the ball was always going high. Getafe’s Fredy Hinestroza almost scored Getafe’s equaliser when he spotted Bravo in no mans land and tried to lob it over him but Bravo recoverd quickly and saved it off the line. The second of the night came off Uruguayan Luis Suarez’s boots when wonderfully volleyed past Guaita from Lionel Messi’s spectacular ball. The next goal came just three minutes after the second when Suarez found Neymar while he was making  a run through the left hand side and the Brazilian scored past Guaita after dancing past a defender. The best goal of the night came off Xavi Hernandez as he scored a right footed shot from outside the box  to the top right hand corner. The game was all but over when Xavi flicked a Lionel Messi pass towards Suarez’s path and Suarez finished it off with a curler.
